• Below you will find some of our most frequently asked questions!

  • How much do tattoos cost?

Tattoo pricing is based on many factors. When pricing a tattoo we take in account size, placement, detail and color or black and grey. Larger multiple session tattoos are based on a hourly rate (Email for further information). If you have a budget you'd like to stay around for your tattoo, inform your tattooer and they will work on you with what is possible at your budget, sometimes it means getting a outline session started and working on it from there with multiple sessions. Our shop minimum is $100 and our studio is cash only.

  • Does Trustworthy Tattoo have a minimum tattoo price?

Our shop minimum is $100, Most small simple tattoos fall into this category, small tattoos with minimal color or shading, single names etc. as locations become more difficult (ie: neck, ribs, feet) the price for smaller tattoos can increase. We are always happy to give a no pressure price estimation.

  • Do you tattoo minors?

We currently only tattoo persons over 18 years of age. This is not state law but our studio policy. Proper State ID/ Drivers ID is required at time of appointment. Thank you!

  • What form of payment do you accept?

We are currently cash only for in-person transactions and deposits. If you are emailing about an appointment, you may request to make a PayPal deposit (fees may apply) or a Venmo Deposit (fees may apply). There are multiple ATM's within walking distance of the shop.

  • Do I need a appointment?

We accept walk-ins when the schedule allows. Trustworthy Tattoo brings in high quality guest artists to help free up time for walk-in tattoos. If you need a specific time/day, making an appointment is usually ideal. You may make a appointment in shop or by contacting one of our tattooers directly. We do our best to accommodate your schedule.

  • Can I cancel or change my appointment?

If you think you have to miss your appointment please give your artist as much notice as possible so they can fill that time with another appointment. We would prefer a weeks notice, but 2 days would be the minimum. In the case of an emergency just let us know as soon as you can. No call no shows will sacrifice their original deposit and will need to reschedule with a new deposit. In some cases you may be unable to get tattooed by an artist after a no call no show occurs. Please ask your artist directly about their cancellation policy.

  • What should I do to prepare for a tattoo session?

Make sure to eat a proper meal before getting tattooed. We also suggest bringing along snacks for longer appointments. Getting tattooed takes a severe toll on your body and keeping your energy and blood sugar up is important in being able to sit through your entire appointment and the recovery afterwards. Wear comfortable clothing that you would be ok with the possibility of getting blood or pigment on. We do our best to control it, but some locations it's difficult. You may also want to consider headphones, so you can concentrate on something else and listen to your own music.

  • Can I bring friend(s) with me?

Please avoid bringing multiple guests (friends or family) to sit with you while getting tattooed. Seating and space in our shop is limited and it can be difficult for the artists to work and move when surrounded by multiple people. Guests will be asked to wait in the front waiting area, and you are limited to one guest (who is not also being tattooed that day). We recognize not everyone is comfortable coming alone, and our shop is a very open floor plan.

  • Do tattoos hurt?

The feeling of tattoos depend on many things, placement, duration, personal pain tolerance, but most locations are very tolerable. Areas such as arms are a great place to start your tattoo journey.

  • Are tattoos safe?

We can’t speak for every tattoo studio, but here at Trustworthy Tattoo, your health and safety is our highest priority. In addition to providing new needles for every client, we also adhere to strict procedures to avoid cross-contamination. You can expect to see disposable ink holders, disposable razors, and barriers on everything that must be touched during the tattoo process. We work closely with the Lorain County Department of Health to ensure that our methods comply with the most current guidelines.

  • How do I take care of my tattoo?

You will be given a printed aftercare flier upon completion of your tattoo, and we will go over the process verbally. If you would like to look over aftercare beforehand you can find it Here. Please don't hesitate to ask questions.

  • Can I bring my own art to have it tattooed on me?

We certainly will work with you to adapt your artwork to work on skin, some changes may need to be made to make sure that it translates to a tattoo. Your skin ages, experiences sun damage depending on location, we take all of this into account while designing a tattoo that will last a lifetime.

  • Do you offer piercings?

We do not offer piercing or piercing jewelry at our shop.

We recommend the following shops for your piercing needs:
